Apple iOS 12 update 

Apple announced a new iOS update for version 12 for iPhones, iPads, and Apple watch( iOS5). According to which version 12 will give grouped notifications and provide video calling with 32 people at the same time on facetime. iOS 12: release date 

iOS 12 will be released in three parts for three different purposes. The first developer beta version which is available now. To get this update, a person is needed to be registered with Apple developer program. For that, he/she needs to pay a 99$ annual membership fee. The second release will be for public testing, that means to test the working of iOS 12 and this will be free for everyone when available. It is expected that this free version will available from 26th of June. It is advised that normal people who just want the final update should wait for the perfect iOS 12, officially notified by Apple because many chances are there that these pre-updates will have a lot of bugs and can create a problem for people who don't play with codes and software. According to apple, final iOS 12 will be available from September 2018  and maybe release a new iPhone with the similar design to iPhone X or iPhone 8. iOS 12: Performance, reliability and compatibility 

According to Apple, iOS 12 is made to improve the speed of existing iPhones. Apple said iOS 12 will make iPhone 6 Plus 40 percent faster in opening apps, 70 percent faster in launching the camera and 50 percent faster at showing up the keyboard. iPhone 5s, 5SE, 6, 6s, 7, 8 and X will have this update. Also, they added iPad mini 2 and iPad Air and newer to iOS 12 update list. iOS 12 will also add many features to the newly launched iPhones like iPhone 8 and iPhone X and improve the existing Apple devices.

iOS 12: features

This iOS 12 will add many new features to the newly launched iPhones like iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and iPhone X. Key features like Facetime with 32 people at the same time and creating Animoji just for yourself (only for iPhone X ). iOS 12 will sort the way of getting notifications by combining, add a new way of sending directly from the camera app to Facetime and Messages app, making AR more realistic, providing screen time for every app, solving do-not-disturb problems, sorting photos so that you can find them easily and much more. iOS 12: Facetime

iOS 12 will make it possible to do Facetime with 32 people at the same time. It will be like group video calling in which iOS we will be able to add people while on a video call or join some group video call. During a video call, we will be able to answer other direct calls and double tapping on a person will show you his/her face on the front. Even from message app, it will be possible to make video calls because of iOS12 update.

  Moreover, to make it more entertaining, in iOS 12, the update includes Animoji (iPhone X), Filters like classic black and white, comic book, and watercolor, text effects like bubbles and emojis and different shapes.

iOS 12: Screen Time 

This is a new tool iOS 12 that allows the user to know time spent on each app and website. Screen Time generates the reports related to app usage, notifications and device pickups on the daily and weekly basis. And if a person is using family sharing Apple IDs then guardian can limit the app usage and keep track of Time spent by kids on an Apple device. Downtime is also added to iOS 12 which blocks specific apps from sending notifications.

In iOS 12, Messages and notification to the same app will be grouped so that you can easily see every notification on the screen at a glance. Moreover, you will be able to change notification settings directly from the notification center. Siri will also give suggestions about controlling notifications by knowing your behavior with the notifications. Some important alerts will still be coming in do not disturb mode like healthcare app notification or system alerts.  

iOS 12: Augmented Reality

A new way of using AR is introduced in iOS 12 update. AR experiences will be able to share with people so that they can view the same thing at the same place. iOS 12 will make the camera (ARkit) to recognize objects and the way your device is oriented to that object. AR will now show virtual objects in real time world using the camera. Measure app in iOS 12 makes lines across the surfaces and sides to measure the distance directly from iPhone.

iOS 12: Camera and  Photos

Apple did not announce much about the changes in the Camera app but later added that default camera app will get a new look. Apple said Camera quality will improve in iPhones with dual cameras. iOS 12 will make photos clicked in more natural colors. The software will make photos crisper with natural colors by separating the background with more precision. Third-party apps will be allowed to use the Dual camera, portrait mode to separate the front and back scene. Scanning QR codes and barcode was a default feature in iOS 11 and it will be there in iOS 12 too.

Photos in iOS 12  will have more efficiency in recognizing the events and objects. Photos will make it easy to search the event without any manual tagging. Scanning people, filtering pictures according to the face detection and event detection was already part of iOS 11 but in iOS 12 apple made it quite handy in handling these things by making Siri search photos with people event places and date taken. iOS 12 will detect animals, body, trees, sunny day and millions of other events. iOS 12 have end-to-end encryption for sending photos in iMessages.

iOS 12: Siri and security

Siri is made smarter in iOS 12 in making decisions and searching iPhone and iPad. Saying "I lost my keys" means to make a Tile tracker ring. Siri will have many shortcuts according to Apple in iOS 12.  Siri will read related information to your commands by asking Siri about traveling plans and booking. 
In iOS 12 update. Siri will translate into around 40 different languages. Siri will now able to tell stats and schedules. Siri can now tell motorsport scores and info about the games. iOS 12 has made Siri know about food and celebrities. Raw photos are now supported by iOS 12 devices and can be edited in iPad Pro.
IOS 12 has enhanced tracking blocker, which prevents web pages to track locations. Safari blocks advertisers from knowing your iOS device's setting and personal data. Passwords will be flagged if they have been used in the past for any purpose. iOS 12 also gives suggestions for making strong passwords. A password can be copied from iOS 12 device when used by the same person on different Apple devices.
